About Strawberry

Strawberry Brain is a game design studio built on one simple obsession: finding the forgotten obvious and turning it into something unforgettable. We believe the best ideas arenβt always hiddenβtheyβre the ones overlooked in plain sight Video games have always been more than codeβtheyβre modern mythology, and we wanted to bring that logic to the table.
The Tabletop Video Game (TTVG) is our love letter to every pixel, quest, and glitch that ever made us believe in worlds beyond the screen. Built from video game logic and fueled by imagination, it bridges button mashing and dice goblining. TTVG turns every genre, trope, and mechanic into one seamless tabletop universe. Itβs not just inspired by video gamesβit is one, just not on a console.
Scorpions have always been natureβs perfect predators, yet in myth they were overshadowed by spiders. We reimagined them as the Tresque, a whole society of scorpion-folk built to reclaim their rightful place in legend.
Fear doesnβt always come from monsters in the darkβit comes from the mind. So we built Escape From the Farms, where the real horror isnβt what stalks you, but what grows inside you. At Strawberry Brain, we donβt just make games – We gamify everythingβ¦
The Big Strawberry Himself

Zach Destael is a U.S Navy veteran, a 10 year electro mechanical technician, and 20 year tabletop veteran. He is also the only person at Strawberry Brain Games.
Everything on this site (even the site itself) β the system, the creatures, the world, the art, the writing β comes from one person who couldnβt afford to outsource any of it and learned to do it all instead. Most of it was built in the margins of 60-hour work weeks.
TTVG has been in active development for four years. The system behind it has been fifteen years in the making β a framework built to run any genre, any world, any story using video game logic. The creatures, settings, and mechanics that live inside it reflect a lifelong obsession with history, mythology, zoology, and all things gaming and nerdy.
He also writes for hire. His work is forthcoming from Pelgrane Press.
